The 25th Annual Alley Loop: Saturday, Feb 5, 2011

Haven’t heard about the Alley Loop Nordic Skiing Marathon in Downtown Crested Butte? Well then you are in for a TREAT!

Take Downtown’s main street, Elk Avenue, and transform it into a corduroy track extending to side streets, alleys, footbridges and the hilly outskirts. Throw in hundreds of nordic skiers dressed in some of the wackiest and wildest costumes ever. And you have the Alley Loop!

You just have to see it to believe it….

Here’s the Scoop…

WHAT:
An American Birkebeiner qualifying race, Colorado Cup Series Race AND Crested Butte’s largest costume party, the Alley Loop features a unique course that winds its way through the streets and alleys of downtown CB!

DATE:
Saturday, February 5, 2011

TIME:
42 km classic race start@ 9 am (new for this season)
3 km start @ 9:30 am
1.5 km start @ 9:35am
42 km, 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, interval starts begin @ 10:00 am

PLACE:
Races start on Elk Avenue and wind around the town
