8 FOCUS ON THE WHEEL Join master potter, Laura Elm, in a six-week course in clay that focuses on the wheel. While some hand-building techniques will be included, students will primarily work on honing their throwing skills in this three-hour class. All levels are wel-come, as Laura will teach beginner and experienced students individualized programs within the same class. 1:30—4:30 p.m. $275 (includes materials). 8 AERIAL DANCE CLASSES (BEGINNER) Come join the circus in a three-week intensive with the Crested Butte Dance Col-lective! Learn how to twirl, fly, climb and do tricks on the aerial hoop, trapeze and aerial fabric while increasing core strength and balance. Taught by Joan Grant, co-founder of the CB Dance Collective and member of the Salida Circus’ aerial dance act ―The Fabulous Flying Femmes,‖ and Kate Orr, co-owner of the High Attitude Dance Academy. 6:00—7:30 p.m. $15 per class (Classes on March 8, 15 & 22). 10 SECOND SATURDAY POTTERY PAINTING ―Paint Your Own Pottery‖ is open the second Saturday of every month of r the community to paint ready-made pottery pieces. 12 AFRICAN DANCE CLASS The Crested Butte Dance Collective and Center for the Arts bring in the rhythm with African Dance. These high-energy dance classes to live drumming explore a variety of traditional African movements and rhythms from Guinea to Zim-babwe. 14 INTRO TO WATERCOLOR Meet every Wednesday from March 7—April 25 for eight weeks of watercolor classes. This course is designed for non-art majors who are looking to learn the basics of watercolor paintings or improve upon current painting skills. No experience required. Photographing Crested Butte for over 20 years has given Dusty numerous opportunities to capture unique photographs of the area. His images have won international awards and are seen in the Crested Butte Land Trust Calender and the Crested Butte Magazine among many other pub-lications as well as the walls of homes and offices.
