20 DOUBLETIME The film Doubletime follows two disparate competitive jump roping teams—one suburban white, another inner-city blacks—as they aim to compete in the Holiday Classic at the famous Apollo Theatre in New York. It becomes a charged expose not only on the gymnastics and physical marvels of what these kids accomplish with a simple piece of rope, but an arrestingly frank look at race and cul-ture in America. 17 PRECIOUS METAL CLAY SILVER JEWELRY CREATION Precious metal clay, PMC, is a crafting medium consist-ing of very small particles of metal—in this case, silver. We will shape the clay to our liking and then fire it in the ASCA’s kiln. Once fired, the binder in the PMC burns away—leaving a solid piece of distinctive and beautiful jewelry.
