Crested Butte Arts Festival

The 40th Annual Crested Butte Arts Festival takes place the weekend of Aug 3 – 5, 2012.

The Festival features incredible art, fantastic cuisine, exhilarating entertainment, artist demonstrations, chef demonstrations, children’s activities and an art auction. There’s something for everyone, where surrounding beauty, artistic talent, and appreciative patrons merge for one, glorious weekend.

How are they celebrating the 4oth Anniversary?

For starters, there’s an extra day! New this year: a Friday night opening. For the first time ever, the Crested Butte Arts Festival will kick off the weekend on Friday, August 3, from 5 – 9 pm. The Beer and Wine Pavilion will be open, and there will be live music gracing the Ragged Mountain Stage. The celebration continues on Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am – 5 pm.

In addition, they’re including more arts programming. Added to the already wildly successful street fair will be visual arts workshops, lectures, short films, and tours of site-specific works of art. Tap into your inner artist at any of these events.
